The ‘Ignite your Career Coaching Programme’ is aimed at professional individuals who are looking for a new role, to switch direction or to relaunch their career. This 5 week online programme of group calls, buddy calls and workbook completion will help you to think about the value you offer to a new employer, your transferable skills, your network and CV.

Importantly we will also identify what you really want from your next role and what makes you happy in your work.

As an introduction we are running several free 45 minute taster sessions in November and December which will begin to give you insight into your own work values and career priorities. You will also gain an overview of the full 5 week course.

The full Ignite your Career Programme

The comprehensive and enjoyable 5-week online programme is a deeper exploration of what matters to you in your next role. You’ll gain confidence and a big boost of motivation to your networking and search.  Limited places mean we can create a confidential, comfortable space to think, talk and plan.

 All our sessions will be held on Zoom. Our first session will be an extended 2 1/4 hour kick off where you’ll get to know everyone, gain some theory and tools then begin to get an action plan in place.  In the weeks that follow we’ll have three 90 minute calls plus a 45 minute 1:1 session with a coach.

 In between sessions there will be preparatory work including reflective thinking, written work, proactive career development and conversations with ‘buddies’.

Our objectives are for you:

1. To identify what you bring to an employer; your skills, experience, personality, attitude. Put simply, to recognise your value.
2. To invest time and thought into identifying the type of work and industry/type of organisation that you want to be part of
3. To build an action plan that is realistic, enjoyable and motivating
4. To boost a growth mindset and build confidence
5. To be part of a community and network that thrives on the content we provide, conversations we facilitate and a 'drum beat' that keeps up your momentum.

Ignite your Career Coaching Programme outline

An additional cohort on Monday evenings will be available if required on the following dates:
January 11th, 18th, 25th and February 8th.

Week 1: Friday, 15th January 2021 from 8.00am to 10.15am
Kicking off our work and our community. This session will give us insight into dealing with change whether that is redundancy, a new situation or the prospect of a new direction. We will understand our psychological response and start examining our mindset.

As the group gets to know each other, we will be looking at our current situation; to  investigate the assumptions and 'frame' we are holding and see how we can reframe to see the positives. We'll kick off our personal action plans and fix to meet with our buddies to progress the plan before the next session.

Week 1 Bonus:
A 45-minute 1:1 session with a professional executive coach will shift our confidence and action-planning up a gear, all aimed at achieving our career goals.

Week 2: Friday, 22nd January 2021 from 8.30am to 10.00am
This session will focus on truly understanding our value to future employers; our transferable skills, experience and capability. We will look at what we most enjoy doing and how we can be at our best during our job search and in our next role. We will be assessing our value to a future employer and continuing to build confidence as we go.

Week 3: Friday, 29th January 2021 from 8.30am to 10.00am
This week we will have a guest appearance from the Caversham CV Writer, Laura Harmsworth and a focus on networking, your way. We’ll continue to build an exciting vision of our future and keep a practical eye on our personal action plans to help get us there.

Week 4:
No formal meeting this week but we will be getting into the nitty-gritty of refreshing/rewriting our CVs, Linkedin profiles and other key personal marketing materials. A network mapping exercise will also focus our attention on where we can have useful conversations.

Week 5: Friday, 12th February 2021 from 8.30am to 10.00am
Confidence boosters, more mindset work and a big push on finalising your action plan for the next few months with a commitment to continuing to support one another. We’ll work out how we wish to stay in touch and leave no (wo)man behind!
